According to the newspaper “Bild”, Alfred Schreuder is a candidate. A more concrete path should lead to the former coach of TSG Hoffenheim and Ajax Amsterdam. Schreuder fits the profile of a coach who already has experience in the Bundesliga and who knows how to manage stars.
Schreuder most recently worked at Al-Ain FC in the United Arab Emirates, where his contract was terminated by mutual agreement almost two weeks ago, despite winning 13 games in 15 matches. The reason given was a lack of consistency between the working methods of Schreuder and his employees and the work processes within the club.
In addition to Schreuder, Raúl is also a coaching candidate at Union Berlin
Besides Schreuder, Spanish legend Raúl will also be a subject at the Alte Försterei. The former Real star has been familiar with the Bundesliga since he played there, when he scored 28 times in 66 games for Schalke from 2010 to 2012. Until now, Raúl has only worked as a coach for the teams young people from Madrid. Raúl reportedly recently rejected a request from S04 regarding the departure of Thomas Reis.
Oliver Glasner, coach of Eintracht Frankfurt until the summer, is also still a candidate for the bottom of the table. Rumors were circulating about the 49-year-old shortly after Fischer’s departure. According to Kicker, the names of Ralph Hasenhüttl and Bo Svensson, who were also traded, are out of the question. President Dirk Zingler recently announced that the search for a coach would be a careful process that would not be undertaken under pressure.
