For the 2021-2022 financial year, the capital gain of PSG should amount to 369 million euros net. Absolutely a record.
The financial health of the capital club is not looking good. According to KMPG’s (Site notre blog d’information) Benchmark data and analysis platform, PSG’s additional losses amount to 369 million euros net for the 2021-2022 financial year. A deficit that has continued to widen in recent years, since the club chaired by Nasser al-Khelaïfi already posted 124 million losses in 2019-2020 and 224 million in 2020-2021.

But how to explain such losses for the reigning French champion? Already the payroll of Club Francilien is estimated at 728 million euros and has seen an increase of 45% compared to the previous year. Kylian Mbappé’s contract extension justifies this substantial increase in particular. By comparing with other big European cylinders, the Parisian situation seems even more worrying.

Last September, UEFA announced penalties for clubs found guilty of breaching Financial Fair Play rules. PSG must be condemned after 10 million euros to regularize immediately. A sentence accompanied by a suspended sentence of 55 million euros in the event of a new offense before the start of the 2025-2026 season.
