Salt City Soccer Club was founded October 1983 in Liverpool, New York to promote and develop youth soccer for Central New York boys and girls. In 2010, we hosted 125 teams at our 25th annual international soccer tournament.  Historically, our focus is to offer an economically priced opportunity for travel soccer teams.  We are currently creating new programs to involve more players at other levels of soccer.  Salt City operates as a not for profit organization.

Salt City Soccer has a great history of player development and team successes.  Our teams have competed and won at very high levels including the State Cup Championship.  Our players have progressed through the Olympic Development Program (ODP).  Many have also played at the collegiate level. Some have gone on to careers as professional coaches and players.

The annual Salt City Tournament in July is our major fundraiser.  We need every Salt City family's assistance in this effort.  The majority of these proceeds are given to our teams for their soccer expenses.  Additionally, a portion is used for charitable donations and the Don Boudov Memorial Scholarship annual awards.  The club donated $3000 to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in 2011.

We welcome additional players, teams, coaches and volunteers to join our club.  All of our teams have equal standing and influence within the club.  Each team decides their own soccer time commitments as well as the competition level they want to participate in and strive for.  On request, we have coaches available to assist with training and games.  Salt City is very helpful and efficient handling the clerical requirements such as player passes, rosters and registrations.

Salt City Soccer Club strives to be what is good about soccer and competition.  Our goal is to give players a positive influence.  They can learn the values of hard work, dedication and teamwork to play with confidence, courage and honor.

The Salt City Soccer Club is affiliated with the New York State West Youth Soccer Association (NYSWYSA).   NYSWYSA is affiliated with United States Youth Soccer Association (USYSA), the United States Soccer Federation (USSF), and the Federation de International Football Association (FIFA).
